Consulting project for company that offers SaaS services on a global scale

Introduction

Over the past two years, our team of skilled developers has been diligently working on a consulting project for a company offering SaaS services on a global scale with an emphasis on connected data and reporting automation. Within this engagement, the team is tasked with what Aspose products do best: utilizing Aspose APIs to import and export various documents from/to different file formats.

Project background

The project is carried out within a Java backend environment, and we are utilizing Aspose.Words, Aspose.Slides, Aspose.Diagram, and Aspose.Cells APIs to meet the needs of our client. Our main focus is on importing different kinds of file formats, such as DOCX, XLSX, VSDX, and PPTX and than exporting them to other formats.

Initially, the project began with two developers, but as the project evolved, it expanded to include a team of three developers. The GUI of our client’s software that we are working on closely mimics the functionality of Microsoft Office tools. This software can create powerful reports, as well as convert, connect, and automate data.

Agile methodologies

To ensure that we manage the project effectively, we use Agile methodologies. Our client reports requests on Jira, and we communicate regularly through Slack. The project is managed using GIT, and each Pull Request goes through reviewing and QA testing before it gets merged. This method ensures that our project is well-organized and meets our client’s requirements.
